Before the sitting — what you send
Three things: your date of birth, your time of birth as precisely as you can find it, and your place of birth. Then a line or two about what is actually on your mind.
Birth time matters more than people expect. A shift of twenty minutes can move your ascendant into the next sign, which changes the frame of the entire chart. Look at a hospital record, a birth certificate, or ask a parent — an approximate time is workable, a guessed one is not. If it is genuinely unknown, say so while booking; there are established methods for working without it, and honesty about that is better than a confident reading built on a wrong number.
The question matters too. "Tell me my future" gives a reader nowhere to stand. "Should I take this job offer, and is this the right year to move?" gives them everything.
What happens before you arrive
Your chart is cast and studied in advance — the birth chart itself, the divisional charts that go deeper on specific areas of life, your current dasha period, and the transits passing over it now. This takes hours and it happens before the sitting, not during it.
That is the practical reason consultations are appointment-only rather than walk-in. It is also why a reading prepared in advance is a different thing from an instant answer given on the spot.
The sitting itself
Expect a conversation rather than a pronouncement. It usually opens with what the chart shows about how you are built — how you make decisions, where your energy naturally goes — because that context makes everything after it land properly.
Then the question you actually came with, read against your timing. Then remedies, if any genuinely apply.
A first sitting typically runs thirty to sixty minutes. Thirty suits one clear question; sixty allows a fuller reading across several areas. It ends when the questions do, not when a timer says so.
You can interrupt. You can say "I did not follow that". You can ask why the chart says something. A reading you do not understand is a reading you cannot use.
Afterwards
You receive a written summary and any remedies in plain language, so nothing depends on your memory of the conversation. Remedies here mean the simple, doable kind — a mantra, a charity, a habit, sometimes a gemstone where the chart genuinely supports one. Not an escalating series of expensive rituals.
Most people then leave it alone for a while, and return when life brings a new question. That is the normal rhythm, and it is a healthier one than checking in constantly.
If you are still hesitating
That is reasonable, and there is a free option: the Discover Yourself tool shows your Moon sign, birth star and current dasha period from your birth details, at no cost. It is a genuine piece of your chart, not a teaser.
If it interests you, a full reading will make sense. If it does not, you have lost nothing.
