Your confidence is the foundation of this practice. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have — in line with India's data-protection laws.

This Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act); the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011; and applicable consumer-protection law of India.

1. Who we are

This website is owned and operated by Mrs. Nidhi Sharma, sole proprietor, practising as Lady of Destiny ("Lady of Destiny", "we", "us", or "our"), the astrological and spiritual-guidance practice of Dr. Nidhi Sharma. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we act as the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data we process.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to respond to you and provide our services. This may include:

Identity & contact details — your name, email address, telephone / WhatsApp number, and city/country.
Birth details — your date, time and place of birth, and similar details you choose to provide for a reading. Because these can reveal personal information, we treat them as sensitive personal information and hold them in strict confidence.
Consultation information — the question or matter you bring, notes you share, prior charts you provide, and records of your engagement with us.
Booking & payment information — details needed to schedule and confirm a consultation. Card/UPI/bank details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment gateway; we do not store your full card or banking credentials on our servers.
Technical & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and similar information collected through cookies and standard server logs.
Communications — messages you send us by form, email, WhatsApp or otherwise.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

respond to your enquiry, application or booking request;
prepare and deliver consultations, readings, written summaries and remedial recommendations;
schedule sessions, process payments and issue confirmations, receipts and reminders;
send you the material you have asked for (such as our newsletter), where you have opted in;
operate, secure, maintain and improve the website; and
comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your birth details or consultation contents for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, make a booking, subscribe, or otherwise engage our services, and for the certain legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act. By providing your information, you consent to its processing for the purposes described in this Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights); withdrawing consent will not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer provide certain services.

5. Cookies & tracking

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use:

Essential cookies required for the site and secure sign-in to function;
Preference cookies that remember choices such as your consent selection; and
Analytics cookies (only if enabled and you accept them) that help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the core site.

We share personal data only as necessary, and only with:

Service providers / data processors acting on our instructions — for example our website hosting provider, payment gateway, and email/communication tools — under obligations of confidentiality and security;
Professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers) where reasonably required; and
Authorities or third parties where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

We never disclose client identities or the contents of a consultation without your express written consent, except where compelled by law.

7. International data storage

Our website and database are hosted on servers that are presently located outside India (in Singapore), and some of our service providers may process data outside India. Where personal data is transferred or stored outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Policy and applicable Indian law. By using the site, you consent to such storage and processing.

8. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide continuity of guidance to returning clients, and to meet legal, accounting or tax requirements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. You may ask us to erase your data earlier (see Your rights), subject to any retention we are legally required to maintain.

9. How we protect data

We maintain reasonable security practices and procedures as required under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, restricted access to consultation records, and secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; however, we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issue that may arise.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
correct, complete or update your personal data;
erase your personal data where it is no longer required;
withdraw consent to further processing;
nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and
grievance redressal — to raise a concern and have it addressed (see below).

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 12.

11. Children's data

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children without verifiable parental or lawful-guardian consent. Where a parent or guardian requests a reading concerning a child, they confirm they are authorised to provide the child's details. We do not undertake behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child's data has been provided without proper consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

In accordance with the DPDP Act, the Information Technology Act and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you may address any question, request or complaint regarding your personal data or this Policy to:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and endeavour to resolve it within one (1) month of receipt, or such shorter period as the law requires.

13. Changes & governing law

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its "Last updated" date, will always be available on this page. This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
